Brian McLaren Comes to Kansas City!

A Conversation on Interfaith Leadership and the Youth Voice (14-19yrs. old)

with Brian McLaren

High school youth are invited to come meet with Brian McLaren on Sunday, September 17 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm at Second Presbyterian Church (318 E 55th Street, KC, MO 64113) for an engaging conversation with a nationally known leader and writer.

Brian is an author, speaker, activist, and public theologian. A former college English teacher and pastor, he is a passionate advocate for “a new kind of Christianity” – just, generous, and working with people of all faiths for the common good. Brian wrote on the importance of interfaith relations in the 2012 book “Why Did Jesus, Moses, the Buddha, and Mohammed Cross the Road?” The book explores the intersection of religious identity, inter-religious hostility, and human solidarity.

This event is free, but registration is required as space is limited. For questions or more information, contact Jon Willis(jonwillis@madisonreds.com).
